International Pearl Design Competition

The International Pearl Design Competition (IPDC) was established in 2009 by the Cultured Pearl Association of America to recognize design excellence across all types of cultured pearls.

This important initiative continues under the Pearl Association and will now include natural pearls alongside cultured pearls.

The awards are international in scope and have earned global recognition for both emerging and established designers from around the world. Judging is conducted through an anonymous, transparent, and confidential process. The panel of judges is composed of respected leaders in the jewelry industry, including retailers, editors, buyers, and master pearl jewelry artisans.

RECOGNITION

Awards are given to entries that demonstrate high levels of design achievement in accordance with the judging criteria.

Winning designs will be featured on the Pearl Association website and socials. In addition, award winners regularly garner media opportunities, including coverage by jewelry trade publications, both print and digital.

All winners – US based, international, and students – receive certificates.
